For the first time, POC FIRE proudly deployed our new Mobile Medical Unit to support the community at this large event.
This mobile unit represents a new concept for Pend Oreille County, bringing nurses and advanced medical support directly to big community events. It’s all thanks to the vision and leadership of our progressive Medical Program Director, Dr. Nathan Lilya, whose guidance has made this possible. We’re excited about the future of this unit — not only for local events but also for deployment on large-scale wildfires, where it will deliver high-quality, intimate medical care to our firefighters on the lines, helping keep them healthy and mission-ready. This is the way of the future, and we’re proud to lead the way!
